Terms of Service

Last updated: May 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing Predax or creating an account you agree to these terms of service, our Privacy Policy, and any applicable data processing agreements. If you use the Service on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind that company to these terms.

2. Permitted Usage

You may use the Service solely for lawful business purposes. Do not scrape, republish, or resell data returned by Predax without prior written consent. Automated usage must respect plan quotas, and security testing requires explicit approval.

  • Authenticate every request with a valid API key.
  • Do not attempt to reverse engineer or compromise the platform.
  • Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your credentials.

3. Account & Data Security

You must keep API keys and login credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, including activity by employees, contractors, or third-party tools.

  • Rotate compromised or inactive keys promptly.
  • Enable MFA or SSO where available.
  • Use webhooks and logs to monitor suspicious activity.

4. Fair Use & Limits

Plan-based quotas and rate limits keep the platform reliable. We may throttle traffic that exceeds purchased capacity, and repeated abuse (e.g., bypassing limits or creating multiple free accounts) can lead to suspension.

5. Service Availability

We aim for >99.9% uptime and post scheduled maintenance in advance, but outages may occur. Credits or refunds for downtime are handled according to your applicable Service Level Agreement.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

Predax provides IP intelligence data as an informational tool to assist in security decisions. THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE MAKE NO WARRANTY THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR FREE FROM FALSE POSITIVES OR FALSE NEGATIVES. IP threat intelligence cannot guarantee the detection of all malicious activity, and legitimate users may occasionally be flagged.

  • Predax is a risk assessment tool — not a guarantee of security.
  • You remain solely responsible for your own security infrastructure and all decisions based on Predax output.
  • We do not warrant that decisions made using Predax data will prevent all fraudulent transactions, data breaches, or financial losses.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, PREDAX AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF REVENUE, LOSS OF DATA, FINANCIAL LOSSES, OR LOSSES ARISING FROM FRAUD, CHARGEBACKS, OR SECURITY INCIDENTS — EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE.

  • Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to this agreement shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to Predax in the three (3) months preceding the claim.
  • Predax does not accept liability for any security breach, financial loss, chargeback, or regulatory penalty you may suffer as a result of relying on IP intelligence data.
  • You are responsible for testing the Service in your environment and satisfying yourself of its suitability before relying on it in production.

8. Termination & Suspension

We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, fail to pay invoices, or put the platform at risk. You may cancel at any time; prepaid fees are non-refundable unless required by law.

9. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may update features, pricing, or these terms to reflect product changes or legal requirements. We will notify you of material updates via email or in-product notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

10. Contact & Notices

Questions about these terms or requests for custom agreements can be sent to [email protected]. Contract or legal notices must be delivered via email and are deemed received when sent to your registered contact.

11. Community Telemetry & Model Improvement

By using Predax plugins or integrations, you agree that anonymised, aggregated data about IP decisions made by the plugin (block, monitor, or allow) may be sent to Predax to improve detection accuracy for all users. Visitor IP addresses are hashed with a one-way cryptographic function before transmission — the original IP address is never stored by Predax. Aggregated community data may be used to train or improve Predax's detection models.

  • Raw telemetry event records are automatically deleted after 90 days.
  • Anonymised feature vectors derived from these events may be retained permanently for model training and contain no reversible IP data.
  • Community telemetry is transmitted only when a plugin has a valid API key configured.
  • You can disable telemetry for your integration at any time by contacting [email protected].
