What is an IP address?
An IP (Internet Protocol) address is the unique number your internet connection uses to send and receive data. Websites you visit see this address, which is how they can tailor content by region, rate-limit abuse, or block fraud. Your IP can reveal your approximate location (country and city) and the network operator (ISP or hosting provider) behind it.
Predax goes further than a plain “what is my IP” lookup: it scores each address for risk and flags whether it belongs to a VPN, proxy, Tor exit node, or datacenter. Developers use the Predax API to run these checks automatically at signup, login, and checkout.
