Block by country or region
Block visitors from chosen countries or whole regions.
Predax can block visitors based on the country an IP is in. Find this under Settings → Protection → Country & Region Blocking.
How to use it
- Block Countries — search for and select individual countries.
- Block Regions — block a whole geopolitical region at once (for example "All of Africa" or "Middle East").
Selected countries/regions are blocked before a full risk check, so it is fast.
Use it sparingly
Country blocking is a blunt tool — it blocks everyone from that country, including real customers and people travelling. Prefer Detection Modes and the Risk Threshold for most fraud/bot problems, and reach for country blocking only when you have a clear reason (for example you do not ship to a region at all).
Keep your own country off the block-list, and add your own IP to the allow-list so you are never caught out.
